Here's to another week. Another day, another dollar...another bill. Today was a pretty good day. The time went fast and I had fun at work. I also had a damn good workout today as well. It went something like: Jenny Craig'ed it out to the Stadium and ran stairs...then lunged across the entire football field.
Then I headed to the Club to complete 20 minutes of core work, focusing on the obliques. Then I complete a upper body circuit and ended with BOSU lunges superset with a minute on the StepMill. My hammies are feeling a little worked this evening...but that's a good thing. Off the fitness note, I think every road in BG is under construction.
It's kind of annoying. I am really hoping that Wooster Street will be put back together before the students come (and the damn tractor pull), but it doesn't look likely. Note to self: Drive the back way to get on 75. Another great thing...Football season is almost here. I LOVE football. There is nothing like an intense football game, sitting in the crowd, yelling at the refs...as I write this I am watching Monday Night Football with my baby.
They were showing clips of John Elway and Barry Sanders and half-time. All I have to say is, GOD DAMN those dudes were fucking amazing. Athletes are amazing. I try to think I'm an athlete at times...but I'll never be Joe Montana...although my gym teacher in grade school called me Joe Montana one day when we were learning how to throw a football. I don't mean to brag, but I can throw a football pretty well. I can also catch pretty well and run....needless to say, I'd be useful on a REC co-ed team.
I can remember playing backyard football in high school. I played with some of our football players and damn it was fun. I almost got my ankle broken once and lots of bruises, but it was worth it. Very good memories... I think if I start reminiscing like this the entry will end up being pages long...so off I go!
