Another weekend gone...seems they come and go so fast. Nothing all that special this time around. Friday we (Abby, Lauren and I)attended a Michelle Malone concert at the skanky dyke bar in Inkster. (Stiletto's) This place was classic. Walk in, old school Melissa Etheridge playing over the sound system. Those of us underage were given glow necklaces to wear, rather than the usual marked up hands. That was pretty cool...for the first 5 min. Then you realize you have to wear this damn thing the rest of the night. That and *everyone* knows you're under 21, which I guess is the point.
The waiter (yes he was male...interesting) was asking us if we wanted a pop or something. Surprising phrasing being in Michigan and all, 'pop', hee hee. The place has two rooms, one with a dance floor (I assume, not that I actually went in there...probably had pool tables and darts too...not a Lesbian bar w/o those) and one with a stage, complete with catwalk.
Seems they have drag shows...as well as strippers on certain nights of the week. Sucky sound system, drunk off their ass 'chatters' and people traipsing back and forth from the oil wrestling to the restroom. (Uni-sex restroom no less) In general, it sucked...but not because Michelle sucked...she was great, you simply could barely hear her over the stories of who fucked who, the pumping bass and screaming from the next room. Oh well, such is life. Saturday was spent sleeping, playing nintendo, watching movies and eating ice cream.
Today we cleaned, went to Target, played more Nintendo and ate more ice cream. A fabulously relaxing weekend, spent with a fabulous girl. Dave was conveniently in Cleveland this weekend...leaving the apartment to just Abby and I. Very nice. Something I wish I could do more often. Back to work tomorrow. No class though. Yay for Veteran's day. Off to unpack and watch the X-files...
