A Simple Act of Kindness This morning, as I was preparing to leave for class, I heard a car, stuck in the snow, desperately trying to get out. I watched the blue geo for several minutes, as the tires spun. Eventually, the owner got out and placed his car mats under the tires in an attempt to extricate the little blue geo. No go. He's sitting in his car seemingly wondering what to do next when a beat up chevy pulls up next to his car. The owner of the chevy rolls down the window speaks, rolls the window back up and pulls his car to the side of the road, his intent clear. The man in the geo gets out and places his floor mats back in his car, exchanges a few words with the chevy owner and returns to the driver seat. With a push on the back of the geo, and rev of the engine, the car is free from the piles of snow. The driver waves to the man behind his car and drives off. The owner of the chevy, waves back and returns to his car, starts it and drives off.
