ok, so the patriots won. but only on a field goal. what kind of way is that to win a game? i guess better than sudden death overtime, but definitely not better than a touchdown. although, i guess there's no need to analyze it. a winner is a winner. the patriots deserved to win. it looked like they wanted it more than the rams. and that's probably the media's fault. all that talk about predicting how much the rams would win by - not IF they would win - pumped up the patriots.
i guess there are advantages to being the underdog. it at least makes for a better story in the next morning's paper. i can only imagine what a media circus new orleans was the last few days. but at least all those reporters and photographers get to bring a good story home with them. and i still think kurt warner is a great guy. and he got lucky with that holding call against the patriots when he fumbled the ball trying to run it into the end zone.
but the best thing about kurt warner is that he knows his worth isn't in this football game, any football game. sure, he probably went home sad, but he knows he is spending an eternity in a greater place - better than a celebration at the superdome. he's going to celebrate on the streets of gold with jesus.
