  This recipe is from the Workbasket magazine October 1950 edition 1/2 cup shotening or butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 or 3 well ripened bananas 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup nut meats Mix shortening or butter until creamy. Add beaten eggs. Cut bananas and knuts into small pieces and add. Sift flour several times with salt and soda, add to mixture. Bake in a well greased loaf pan 1 1/2 hours in a 350 degree oven. This makes a medium sized loaf.
