  When you do without something for a while and one day you eventually get that something you are more likely to appreciate it. Also, sometimes it takes loosing something, to really appreciate the worth of that something, as the old saying goes, you will not miss the water until the well runs dry (or something like that).
The office I work in had it's 256K office to office wireless connection replaced with a 100 Mbps fiber optic connection. Files that once took minutes to copy across, now only take a few seconds. Browsing folders on a remote server happens in the blink of an eye. Remote desktop connections display in real-time. Also, sometimes you have to tell yourself that even though things are bad right now, they could be worst.
