Watching t.v. and all the hooplah that has been surrounding the race for the presidency, I sometimes have this crazy notion in my head. Before I tell you what that notion is, I have a question for you. Have you ever had an idea that might seem silly at the time, but in all reality, it's not so crazy after all? If you answered "yes" to that question, then you'll understand what I'm talking about. You see, I had the notion that "when I turn 35, why couldn't I run for the presidency?
When is the last time that we actually saw someone that young run?". The answer to all these crazy questions are simple. The only thing stopping anyone from running is probably money. I know what you are thinking. You probably think that I've lost my mind. In all honesty, these are hypothetical questions.
I like to have those every now and again. Kind of like "I wonder if I could be an astronaut?". I think the road to running for president (not being the president) would be a little easier. Granted I'd probably end up like Nader. You know, having only a margin of votes that wouldn't even amount to anything. HA!!
About being 35, I think the youngest person to run for the presidency was JFK. I believe he was in his 40's. Maybe a young guy or girl would shake things up a bit. Here's a question for you: Why is there only two major parties in America? Why do people only embrace those? By the way, the Green Party doesn't count and neither does the Christian Coalition.
Have you ever thought about being in politics? Have you ever wanted to be the President of the United States? Answer me!!!!! Growl. :)
