Allegro Common Lisp on the Grace Cluster

Last update: October 10, 2008

Regardless of where you do your program development, you need to make sure your programs run in Allegro Common Lisp on the Grace Cluster, because that's where we'll run your programs to test them.

To run Allegro Common Lisp on the Grace Cluster, you must have a glue account. Please get one if you don't already have one.

If you have a Grace account, you can run Allegro Common Lisp by opening an ssh connection to solaris.grace.umd.edu and typing the following commands:

  • tap allegro81
  • alisp

To avoid having to type tap allegro81 every time you login, you can put that command into the file .cshrc.mine in your home directory.
