Philip Yang (杨阳 in Chinese) is a final year student of HKUST majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. He is seeking a graduate research position in a Computer Science related area.
Philip's research interest span Parallel and Distributed System, with application in Computer Graphics. In Single-Chip Parallel systems, he is interested in General Purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPGPU), for both graphics specific and general applications. In Distributed Systems, he foucs on the decentralized systems like Peer-to-Peer network. In Computer Graphics, he spent most of his time studying scalable global illumination algorithms, subdivision surface and Physics-Based Simulation.
