Conclusion

Current Status:

  • Games screen is fully functional
  • Music screen is just a screenshot
  • Internet screen is just a screenshot
  • Movies screen is fully functional
  • Dr. Orders screen is fully functional
  • Med/Cond screen is fully functional
  • Room Controls screen is just a screenshot
  • Walkthrough is partially functional

 

Future Improvements:

  • Implement some music device
  • Implement index search for diseases
  • Implement help for each screen (text and voiceover)
  • Have play button for Dr. Orders screen
  • Make code for video playing consistent.
  • Include trivia and other mind stimulating games
  • Display dynamic time on all screens (include a clock)
  • Show some kind of reaction on room controls screen (make interactive).
  • Perhaps show some possible play/ff buttons while video is playing
  • Make "call nurse" visible on front screen (where back usually is). Show indication that nurse is called.
  • Make a way to quit the walkthrough prematurely.
  • For the walkthrough, go through most if not all of the screens showing the functionality of PIE
  • Make mouse invisible.
  • Implement Internet screen such that it uses both the keyboard and mouse
  • Fix Tetris bug (which causes most computers to crash)
