Conclusion
In Pad++ there is a sense of peripheral awareness. When objects are small or off
to one side, you can still see them, and still make out a little of their
contents, though they are not shown in all their detail. When you look
directly at them and zoom in, all of the detail becomes available.
Hence the Pad++ metaphor offers a new route for tapping into our natural spatial
and geographic ways of thinking.
This metaphor is more powerful than the tradional (and now dated) view of a
computer screen as a collection of small windows through which you peer at
your data.
