Probabilistic Data Management Project

Goals

The world is replete with uncertainty. Mortgage bankers are uncertain about the outcome of loans that they make. Military planners are uncertain about what the enemy might do. Airline passengers are uncertain about whether their plane will be on time or will be late. Despite the huge amount of uncertainty in the world, there is little work on handling uncertainty in databases in a scalable manner.
