Simple Hierarchical Ordered Planner

This is the home page for the SHOP, JSHOP, SHOP2, and JSHOP2. These automated-planning systems are distributed under an open-source license, and have been used in hundreds of projects worldwide. SHOP2 won one of the top four prizes at the 2002 International Planning Competition.

Announcements, February 17, 2005:

JSHOP2, a Java implementation of SHOP2, is now available. In addition to being written in Java, JSHOP2 uses a new "planner compilation" technique (see the description page) to achieve faster execution speed.
In response to requests from users who want to contribute code to our project, we have moved all of our code to a sourceforge web page.
