KGSYS (Korean Graduate students SYStem research group )
is a non-official research group by Korean Ph.D students in Computer
Science and Electronic Engineering at University of Maryland, interested in
researche areas relevent to System, Network and Network Security.
Group readings and seminars about various fields in System, Network and Network Security has been conducted under the name of KGSYS since 2002. The group has been developed from a small reading group by three Ph.D students in Dept. of Computer Science at Univ of Maryland in 2002. They started with the book "TCP/IP Illustrated Vol 2" by Wright Stevens and agreed to keep the collaboration in researches. |

- 5 distinct Articles from "IEEE Communications Mag" will be voluntarily selected by members' own favor, every 2 issues per meeting in reverse order of issue ( present to past ) - When attendants are less then 5, some members select two articles while others select one to make 5 articles. - Please report your selection to all the members by email - Selections should be distinct and a first-come-first-served basis.
- Exclude short editorials or book reviews of 1-2 pages - There is no restriction about the topic. The purpose of the meeting is to overview the research trend in various areas. - At the meeting, each attendant presents his selection for 15-20 min per article. Total expected time is 2 hours excluding pizza fest. - Any other presentation of Article/Topic/Introduction from any other source is welcome if it is reported for the selection. ( eg, Yeo is considering MPLS to present in near future )
- Members are responsible to understand his article to provide brief introduction to the group. Reading/Printing other's article is by member's own will. - Attending the meeting is exclusively mandatory. Failure of attendance without one-week prenotification will be submitted to a disciplinary measure. - Please include the following template in selection email for the ease of management of web page. <tr><td><a href=> TITLE<a></td><td> AUTHOR</td><td> MONTH YEAR</td><td> WHO</td></tr> * replace TITLE, AUTHOR, MONTH, YEAR, WHO with your article's values
