Exam 2 Review - Spring 2002:
Regrade Opportunity:
There are always a few people who question the grading on the exam
so here is the procedure and some things to consider.
If you would like to have something regraded, you must
submit an argument (describing why your answer is correct or should receive
more points)
written on a separate piece of paper stapled to the front of your exam
paper.
A few things to be aware of:
- The argument must be convincing - it can't just say "this was graded
wrong" or "I think I deserve more points on this".
- If the grading was more lenient than we thought it should be, you
may end up losing more points.
- This argument and exam combination must be submitted by the
Friday before Spring Break to one of the two instructors or it
will not be considered.
- No regrades will be turned back until they are all submitted (not
until after spring break).
Announcements:
- Make sure you bring an official picture ID with you to the exam.
- Make sure you bring a writing instrument - it is best if you do not
bring anything else if possible since everything else will have to go to the
front of the room.
- Make sure you are to the exam on time and don't plan to leave early.
- Here is the HTML version of last semester's exam 1 and answers.
What to do if you have a conflict:
- Send mail to jplane@dc.umd.edu no later than March 4
- In that mail you must include the reason you need to take the makeup exam
- You must also include your schedule for Friday, March 15 (so we can schedule the makeup
- If the reason is not a class conflict, you must also bring documentation of that conflict (such as a note from your work supervisor that says you must work that night).
- You will receive a mail message from Jan Plane telling the time and place for the makeup exam.
