You are responsible for the entire book, but the emphasis will be on chapters 11-14. 60% of the exam is to design a system starting from the OAI model and sketching four screens of a web-based system. For this system you will be asked to design some evaluation method. Additionally, you may have to critique issues in systems such as help, wording, color, input devices, etc. There is also a question about search & visualization tools and their design. Good study approaches are to carefully study the Boxes in each chapter and the online questions plus slides in the website.
