Safety Net is the U.S. system for providing medical care for low-income
populations. Safety Net Monitoring is an AHRQ funded project to monitor the
status of Safety Net. Safety Net Monitoring provides baseline data and tools to
help monitor the status of local safety nets in providing health care to
low-income and other vulnerable populations. The goal is to help local
policymakers, planners, and analysts monitor the status of their local safety
