Dr. Kingsford Receives Sloan Research Fellowship

February 15, 2012. CS faculty member Carl Kingsford has received the prestigious Sloan Research Fellowship in the area of evolutionary and computational molecular biology. Prof. Kingsford is one of 12 awardees in this area and the only Sloan awardee from University of Maryland this year. The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation awards research fellowships to early-career scientists whose achievements and potential identify them as rising stars and future scientific leaders.
