Location

The workshop will be held at the University of Maryland College Park campus in the Computer Science Instructional Center (CSI) and the A.V. Williams Building. The opening breakfast will be on the 4th floor of CSI. Map and directions

Registering for Later Reimbursement

Fill in a University of Maryland Travel Approval Request. (Sorry about that.) This is an electronic form. For "Source of Funding (FRS#)" use "WAM". For Hotel, use $420 as the estimate for 3 nights lodging.

Completing this step before the end of August would be a big help to our accounting staff.

Transportation

The meeting begins at 8:30am Wednesday October 8 and ends at 11:30am on Friday October 10.

The University of Maryland is served by three major airports - Reagan Washington National (DCA), Baltimore-Washington International (BWI), and Washington Dulles (IAD). BWI and DCA have rail transportation (the MARC Penn line and Metro, respectively) with a 2 mile taxi ride at College Park. More information on travel by plane is available on the UMCP web site. Information on travel by train or automobile is also available on the UMCP web site.

You may either book your travel directly and submit your ticket receipt after the conference for reimbursement, or book your ticket through Globetrotter travel agency and have us pay for it directly. The airport code "WAS" picks up all three airports on most travel services.

For Globetrotter, call 1(800)322-7032 and ask for Sandi or Kim and reference the "Women in Applied Mathematics" meeting at the University of Maryland. Your ticket cannot actually be booked by Globetrotter until AFTER YOU HAVE FILED THE TRAVEL APPROVAL REQUEST, so be sure to do that early.

Hotel

Lodging will be at The Inn and Conference Center for the University of Maryland, operated by Marriott. Contact Leyla Lugonjic llugonjic@umuc.edu for questions about the reservations, and refer to the "Women in Applied Mathematics: Research and Leadership" meeting. The bill for the lodging will be paid directly by us. Hotel information and directions
