The Computer Science Career & Internship Fair | Fall 2024 will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024 (11:00 am - 6:00 pm) at the Stamp Student Union. The University of Maryland, College Park is the state’s flagship university and one of the nation’s preeminent public research institutions.
Employers can find additional information and REGISTER to attend the fair HERE on Handshake. Employers should be hiring for internships, part-time, or full-time positions to attend the Spring Career & Internship Fair. All registrations are subject to approval.

Fair Details
Join the Department of Computer Science for an exciting opportunity to connect with computer science undergraduate and graduate students looking for challenging and rewarding internships, co-ops, and full-time careers to foster their technical capabilities. This bi-annual event welcomes innovative and exciting companies from across the U.S., including startups, government organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and tech giants.
Registration Information: Booths include one (1) 6’ table, two (2) chairs, wireless access, booth signage, parking, and a continental breakfast and catered lunch for four (4) representatives. Access to an electrical outlet is available for an additional fee (if requested on the registration form via *extra Item*). Companies are encouraged to bring any display, materials, swag, etc. that fits within these parameters.
Pricing:
- Corporate/For-Profit: $900
- Government/Non-profit: $750
- Small Business: $400
- Start-Up: $250 (Subject to approval. For the purpose of registration, we generally define start-ups as firms that are in the seed stage through early financing, and/or have been in existence for 5 years or less, and/or have less than eighty employees, and/or exhibit a "rapid growth" or "early-stage innovation" mindset.)
- UMD Campus Office/Department: $100
Electricity: Electricity is not included. Access is available for an additional fee of $50.
Booth Forfeit: If you do not arrive by 2:00 pm the day of the fair and have not contacted us via email at cscareerfairs@umd.edu to make alternative arrangements, we will consider your booth forfeited and reserve the right to assign it to another exhibitor.
Shipping/Freight & Representative Info: Advantage Conference & Expo will be coordinating freight shipping services to attending employers. The cut-off for ordering shipping service is Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Please contact Advantage at customerservice@advantageexpo.com) in the interim.

Payment Instructions
Credit Card: Please use our secure credit card processing site for payment: https://sa-umd.nbsstore.net/career-center.
- Step 1: You will need the invoice number and information from the invoice to complete the payment process. You will need to reference your invoice to complete the required information (Event Name, Invoice Number, and Registration amount) for payment processing.
- Step 2: Fill in all required information for payment processing.
- Step 3: Once the credit card payment has been successfully processed you will be e-mailed a statement to that effect. A second email will be sent within the next ten business days reflecting your payment and providing you with a zero balance receipt. The payment will appear as a charge from our Division of Student Affairs on your credit card statement.

Payment & Cancellation Deadline: The deadline to receive a full refund and not owe a balance is Wednesday, September 18, 2024. No refunds will be administered after this date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to the Department of Computer Science at cscareerfairs@umd.edu. Failure to cancel in writing by the cancellation deadline will leave your organization responsible for the registration fee, regardless of circumstances.

Each booth includes a 6 x 8 space with a 6ft table, 2 chairs, wireless access, booth signage, and a black tablecloth. Each booth accommodates up to 4 representatives (8 for double booths). Please bring promotional materials to distribute.

- If the browser doesn't automatically direct you to the login screen then go to the umd.edu website, this will cause the login screen to appear.

- Type in the username and password for the current date and click login. Remember that all usernames and passwords are in lowercase type.
NOTE: If you receive the "Success" pop-up but don't have internet access try to turn your wifi off and then back on.

You may drop off your materials at the Union Lane entrance to the Stamp Student Union (across the street) before proceeding to the parking location. Volunteers will be on-site to assist you.
PARKING
Please plan ahead and be patient regarding travel on campus, given the ongoing Purple Line construction and heavy student foot traffic during the morning hours. Navigating campus during this time will take a significant amount of time.
Parking is limited, and carpooling is strongly encouraged.

A parking attendant will be on-site to verify your organization and provide you with a PAID parking permit to validate your parking. Once Union Lane Garage is filled, you will be directed to Regents Drive Garage as a secondary location.

If the garage reaches capacity, parking attendants will redirect you to an alternate location. Employers are welcome to arrive as early as 9:00 a.m. to set up before the start of the event. Those bringing materials may stop at the side door of Stamp to drop off materials with assistance from student volunteers.
If you do not receive a permit from a parking attendant, you are in the wrong lot and may receive a parking citation. The Department of Computer Science does not reimburse for parking violations.
DIRECTIONS
Given extensive campus construction, it is encouraged that guests enter the UMD Campus via Baltimore Ave (US Rt. 1) and follow Campus Drive to the Stamp Student Union for drop-off.

- PAYMENTS: Full payment is requested upon receipt. You can locate the invoice link in the Handshake system email that approved your registration. All outstanding payments are due immediately.
- CANCELLATIONS: The deadline to receive a full refund has past.No refunds will be administered at this time.
COVID-19 Information
Please review the UMD health guidelines found here. Representatives are encouraged to wear KN95 masks, with a limited supply available at check-in. If you must cancel due to COVID-19, please notify us immediately.
