Dr. Plane has been an instructor and advisor in the Computer Science Department for the past 25 years. She is committed to increasing the participation of young women and underrepresented minorities in computer science. “I believe that events such as Empowering Women in IT are very valuable for supporting the professional community of female computer scientists and answering difficult questions about the lack of women in computing” says Dr. Plane, “I am honored to have been chosen to serve on the Empowering Women in IT panel.”
