Kyuseok Shim named 2013 ACM Fellow for contributions to scalable data mining and query processing

Kyuseok Shim received his Ph.D. from UMD in August 1993. Dr. Shim was advised by Dr. Timos Sellis and spent his graduate years studying databases; he fondly remembers Dr. Jack Minker's logic programming classes. In 2013, Dr. Shim was named an ACM Fellow for his contributions to scalable data mining and query processing research. He is now a Professor at Seoul National University. Learn More:
