02.09.2026 14:33 gitlab.cs.umd.edu maintenance: All Sundays 10AM to 3PM in January

The CS IT staff will perform maintenance on gitlab.cs.umd.edu between 10am - 3pm each Sunday in January through the first Sunday of February 02/01/2026.

During these times you will not have access to the GitLab website, API, repositories, runners, or other GitLab services.

01.22.2026 20:48 Network connection disruption on 01/22/2026 at 5:30 pm for 2 minutes or less

We are going to upgrade and reboot our main firewall in AVW datacenter after 5:30 pm on January 22.
All web services, junkfood servers and servers in A.V Williams building will be disconnected for at most 2 minutes.
It will be a short disconnection to the datacenter until backup firewall will take over and the sites will be reconnected.

Submit will be unavailable on 01/12/2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm EST due to maintenance actions.

The NFS server will be upgraded.
During the maintenance, the following services will be disrupted:
      -CSD web sites (no access to content) - www.cs and all other sites served by CS web servers

     -  "junkfood" home directory

     - Personal web pages, /fs/wwwusers

     - Class and Project directories, e.g. class web pages. fs/instruct & /fs/proj
