We have determined the cause of the mail problem. We are working on restoring files and anticipate that service will be returned by 7p. An email with more information will be sent to all users tomorrow (Tues.)

The CS mail servers have stopped sending & receiving mail. I believe this is currently impacting all 4 mail servers. We are investigating so we can correct as quickly as possible.

11.24.2014 15:57 Wkend: 10/11&10/12: Campus electricians working in CS datacenter

I wish to alert you that campus electricians will install the redundant PDU in our datacenter this weekend. As all hardware is now on power from a new PDU, this should not impact our services.

During the maintenance window, 6a - 7:30a, on Tue. 7/22, there will be a COMPLETE POWER OUTAGE in AVW 1138 (the CS datacenter) and AVW 1144 (the Flex Lab). This will impact ALL CS systems. There will be a complete loss of access during the duration of this period. We will attempt to gracefully shutdown all CS-supported machines prior to the power outage. Machines that are not serving mission-critical services will be shut down prior to 6am and may be restarted after 7:30am.
