The NFS server will be upgraded.
During the maintenance, the following services will be disrupted:
      -CSD websites (no access to content) - www.cs and all other sites served by CS web servers

     -  "junkfood" home directory

     - Personal web pages, /fs/wwwusers

     - Class and Project directories, e.g., class web pages. fs/instruct & /fs/proj

12.24.2015 10:32 Changed Junkfood SSH keys

This morning junkfood.cs.umd.edu was switched to new servers. The new junkfood servers have new SSH keys. If you get an error when connecting like "WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED!" then please follow the instructions in the error message to remove the old keys from your local cache. See the e-mail sent out this morning for the fingerprints of the new SSH keys.

12.03.2015 16:49 Issues with incoming and outgoing mail

We are currently experiencing issues with our mail server, hindering both the delivery and reception of mail. We are actively working to restore mail services.
We believe the problem is now resolved. Messages held in the queue will start to appear in inboxes shortly. Any bounce messages you received will need to have the original message resent. Similarly, any people who have contacted you about receiving a bounce message while trying to contact you will need to resend their message to you.

Between 1-5pm on Thurs., 11/26, you may notice brief disruptions to the following services: Web Server (1 hr. outage), authentication (15 min. outage), network connectivity (5 min.).

11.25.2015 09:17 Interruptions to CS services requiring authentication

It is possible that users will soon notice disruptions of service where CS authentication is needed. We are working on resolving the problem. Early this morning updates were automatically run on two of our authentication servers. This update "broke" authentication on those machines. Before we were able to disable the update from running on the primary authentication server, the update ran at 9:00am.
