Dorr Recently Freatured in CMNS Odyssey Magazine

CS and UMIACS Professor Bonnie Dorr was recently featured in The Odyssey, a magazine from the College of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences, highlighting her work in developing translation technologies for the U.S. Department of Defense. Dorr and her doctoral students created Topiary, a summarizer that distills information, and the Translation Edit Rate Plus (TERp), an evaluation metric for machine translation.
